John was retained by the Project General Contractor, Morse Diesel/Odebrecht, for this project to buy out the specialty scopes for the venue and to liaise with the arena developer (Basketball Properties, Ltd.) on this new $230M home for the Miami Heat basketball team. John’s responsibilities included assisting in design review, bidding, contract negotiation, pricing and budget control, and coordination of the construction of a 782,400 sq.ft./20,000-seat arena.

He was also responsible for negotiating and contracting the construction of 15,000 sq.ft. of luxury “Starboxes,” 12,000 sq.ft. of restaurant and bar space, 33,000 sq.ft. of food service/concession areas, 33,000 sq.ft. of office space, 11,000 sq.ft. of retail, audio-visual, data/telecom, broadcast and security systems, scoreboard and video replay systems, graphics and signage and F,F&E.
