Orlando-Hurricane Restoration
This residence is in an upscale unincorporated Orange County in West Orlando community. The Homeowner suffered extensive damage from Hurricane Erma in September 2017. While there was no interior damage to the home, the exterior had significant damage resulting from a microburst storm event inside of the Hurricane. This storm left the Homeowner with much of their back-yard fencing on the ground, their screen-enclosure completely felled (mostly into the swimming pool), significant roof damage, decimated second floor balcony and stair and extensive exterior siding damage.
After months of less-than-satisfactory back-and-forth with their insurance company, the Homeowner engaged Multicon to represent them in securing a fair settlement. The initial claim settlement from the insurance company only provided the Homeowner with roughly $3,800 after deductible and non-recoverable depreciation. Multicon ultimately secured nearly $80,000 for the Homeowner, less their deductible and non-recoverable depreciation.
The Homeowner was able to engage Multicon, in addition to making the multiple required miscellaneous repairs to the home, to replace the complete roof, along with damaged sheathing, replace multiple sections of wood fencing, install a new larger (2-story) screen enclosure, to replace and upgrade (composite decking material) the second-story balcony and stairs, as well as repainting the entire home.
Project Summary
Multicon's scope of work included the renovation/replacement of the entire envelope of the home, including:
- 2-story screen enclosure
- roof
- balcony
- exterior stairs
- replacing exterior light fixtures, fans
- fencing
- entire repaint
