Our Heritage
"Building on our heritage to help you shape your own."
Multicon’s legacy began in 1962, in Columbus, Ohio. Nurtured by the team of John W. (“Jack”) Kessler, Peter Edwards and John B. (“Jack”) Deinhardt, between 1962 and 1969, Multicon Properties, Inc. developed more than 14,000 rental apartments in Chicago, Philadelphia, Atlanta, New Orleans, Memphis, St. Louis, Indianapolis, and other eastern U.S. cities.
Because of its development and management skills, the Multicon team was called upon in the 70 and 80’s by banks and Real Estate Investments Trusts throughout the country to assist them with their distressed properties. Multicon successfully marketed numerous condominium projects for these financial institutions. Inverness Village Condominium, a 128-unit project in Inverness, Florida, a property of Wachovia Realty Investments, Inc. of Winston-Salem, N.C., recently reached a $3 million total sellout. Multicon became a prime example of a carefully redefined marketing program combined with architectural and landscape redesign, and the formation and management of the Condominium Association to achieve the financially successful sellout.
Other “turnaround” projects marketed by Multicon during this period included Coral Lake Towers Condominium in Fort Lauderdale and Lake Tarpon Sail and Tennis Club in Tarpon Springs (both for Continental Illinois Realty of Los Angeles); Danians South Condominium in Dania (for 1780, Inc. and Equibank, N.A. of Pittsburgh); Opal Towers West in Hillsboro Beach (for Opal Towers Development Corp. and Equibank, N.A.); and Royal Village Townhouses in West Palm Beach (for Fidelity Bank of Philadelphia).
Multicon of Florida - Today
John C. like his father Jack before him, originally hails from Columbus, Ohio. “John C.” comes by his chosen careers very naturally, following the lead and footsteps of his father, Jack. John C., having learned the business from a lifetime of immersion in his father’s career, his qualities of honesty and integrity, now has going on 40 years of experience in architecture, development and construction, including partnership(s) with his father and over 20 years serving as Owners’ (or Developers’) Representative on some well-known projects in South & Central Florida. John C. has overseen, or has himself, performed design, development, or construction activities on over $3 Billion Dollars of a variety of residential, commercial and mixed-use projects in Ohio and Florida over the course of his career.
During the years 1985 through 1995, in addition to developing Multicon’s numerous significant new communities, Jack worked with John C., partially as the “designated Arbiter General Contractor” for USAA Insurance Company and its ‘members’, in the restoration and remodeling of homes and communities ravaged by Hurricane Andrew in August of 1992.During this period, Jack and John C. also purchased and enhanced single and multi-family residences for resale in Ft. Lauderdale and Lighthouse Point Florida.
In late 1995, John C. was given the opportunity to expand his career experience to serve, individually, on behalf of Owners’/Developers’, to represent their interests assuring their projects were properly and optimally undertaken and completed, both “on time” and “on budget”. In these capacities, it was John C.’s responsibility to perform any task necessary, to that end, on wide variety of building types (Public, Private, Commercial, Single and Multi-Family Residential, Low/Mid/High-rise, Sporting Venue, Mixed-Use, etc.), including assemblage of Design and Construction Team(s) and negotiating / contracting same on behalf of Client, liaising with bureaucratic entities, administration of all design / construction activities through Project completion.
Further, John C. would Prepare Project Analyses, Budget Reviews, Proformas, Feasibility Studies, coordinate with consultants in obtaining all necessary information, entitlements, and permits for Client projects. John also performed Project Management duties overseeing development and construction, including contractor negotiations and Project commencement through Project close out; handling construction change directives, and proposed change orders; prepare and present Bank draws and check requests.
Since 1995, John C. had the great fortune to provide these consulting services on behalf of such distinguished Owners/Developers on a list of impressive projects.
After the passing of his father, in 2015, John C., continued the Multicon namesake to carry on and build upon the memory, tradition and reputation of his father, performing the following services:

FEMA, Orange County and other Federal agencies are all taking steps to address this shortage.
Multicon has begun sourcing developable single and multi-family land for housing as well as out-of-service hotel and resort properties in/around Orlando for conversion to low-income efficiency rental properties.
